Here's a pic of my 29g FWFO. This tank has made alot of progress thanks to all of the input from kind posters here (William, jeffs99dime, kimmers, hobbs). There are still alot of improvements to be made (mainly filtration and lighting), but I am pleased with the current result. Hope to have better pics soon. PLEASE RATE MY TANK AT THE LINK BELOW!!! (it's the link they gave me to use - hope it works...) Thanks again all!!

looks like a pacu to me. Those buggers are strong.

Isnt a 29 too small? i think they need at least a 55g and need to school. not sure

A pacu will get too large for that tank, but the tank looks fantastic! where did you get that driftwood? It looks great!

The driftwood kind of looks like a giant ginseng root to me. Very cool.

loving the huge wood/log decoration, not too sure about the plants tho, i guess after you have made modifactions it will look better.
for the fish, on the link it sayd whats kept in the tank :2-4" silver dollars, 2 tetras, 3 cory cats, 2 kribs, 1 bushy nosed pleco.

Rock background looks 3D in the pic, but its not - just the typ plastic background. Log is ABS plastic from Petsmart ($29). Most of the time I like it, but occasionally want to do something different. The only bad part is that it's hollow, once when I removed my stock for a cleaning/rescape and one of my kribs when up in it and it took a couple min to get him out. As for the plants, they look cheap because they are, but again I'm on very tight budget so I'm satisfied with them for now. Yes those "pacus" are silver dollars - about 9-10 years old from a friend. Thanks for all your interest!!

Very nice tank, is it acrylic?

it looks like glass.

You can clearly see silicone

Acrylic tanks have smooth rounded edges

No, it's just that clean...:hmm3grin2orange: I LOVE the look of acrylic, but I'm probably too rough on my tank to live with it day to day.

i like acrylic for no silicone and clearer viewing, but my 10g SW acrylic was used and you can see scuffs

You can remove scratches on acrylic pretty easily with repair kits.

yeah, but ive seen a post where a guy tried a scratch kit and somehow he got a bazillion more scratches. Now that i think of it, he probably didnt wipe the grit off the front
