Hello everyone, I don't have a tank yet, I'm here to do some research before my mother gets me one. My mother is mommy1 for those of you who know her. She told me that here was a good place to research so I signed up a while ago. I've been reading about taking care of fishes for a few days befoe my computer crashed. Now it's back and I figured oiut how to post and where. So tada! like magic here I am!

Hey everyone! Thanks alot for the welcome! No plans yet. I'm not sure what kind of fish I want. Any suggestions for good fish to cycle with? And what fish are compatable with them?

you can also use media from an established tank

cycling a tank is going to be your first challenge... there are several ways to do it.. the newest way is fishless using pure ammonia, takes several weeks but your not stressing any fish.. or you can cycle with fish, zebra danios are the best for this as they are tough little fish... but i;ll warn ya you have to test your water every day and do lots of water changes to keep your ammonia and nitrites as low as possible.. using filter media from an established tank will make this a lot easier. so do your research and you decide hey its your tank!!
