I have decided instead of making a new journal for everytime I change something, get a new tank or I develop different plans, I am just going to log all the my tanks in 1 thread :) <All the mods sigh a great sigh of relief> So here we go! LOL
*.:.42G/160L.:.* -TRANSFORMING from FRESHWATER to SALTWATER-
I am going to be taking a RADICAL transformation with this tank - I have decided to take a turn at the dark side <Muahahaha!> and try saltwater! Now like always I have plans and like always, they will probably change 50 times over until I can follow them ;) LOL
ATM, the only inhabitants in the tank is my pair of Angels, Bonnie and Blade. They will be going back to the LFS to go in their Amazon show tank, I am sad that they will go, but the main reason I AM going to give them back to the store is that these 2, once loved-up-sweeties are now fighting like no tomorrow - Bonnie is spending her life behind the filter ATM, frightened of her abusive husband... Er.. Should I call him her ex now? LOL, my Angels, I should make a soap opera about them! :help:
I am going to go REAAALLLLYYY slow with my purchases and research-research-research!
Here is my basic plan for equipment...
NEED AND PLAN TO BUY:
* 10xkg of Live Rock
* Crushed Coral
* Skimmer = No idea ???
* 2x Koralia 1
* API master saltwater test kit
* Lighting = 6x39watt T5 (Individual reflectors)
* 200watt Heater
* 20xkg bag of Marine Salt ($30)
* 3x Buckets
* Refractometer
HAVE ALREADY:
* 6.5Kg (15lbs) Dead Rock
* Thermometer
*.:.22G/85L.:.* -TETRA TANK [Community]-
This tank is stocked to the point of exploding, but I do daily W/C's and I have 2 good filters (Combined = thumbs2: )
I need to get 3 more Neons and 3 more Kuhlis, then I am done. The Corys are going to stay at the number they are at for now, well maybe.... 1 cory is struggling and looks REALLY ill... I think it might die :scry: If so I'll only be down to 3... Mmmphhhh.. Will have to think about that LOL Nothing really majorly happening with this tank... I'll still be updating my competition thread with Mac and AA, so every couple of months we will be having comps ;)
Thats all for now.. next post I'll post some pics... I think I have posted enough in this entry LOL :hmm3grin2orange:

Great plan Demi!thumbs2:
I was thinking of doing the same thing.
I wish I had the resources to go salt.You must be excited about getting things started.Just take it slow.
I have lost a few corys as well in the past few months.I have also found 3 babies while giving my tank a good cleaning tonight.
Yea with salt water take your time. No rushing into it. The first thing is Money. Take your time plan carefully and go slowly.
Your plan sounds great.
Hope things work out for you.

Thanks guys! I am going to have SOOOO much fun with my SW! And even though I am planning a SW tank, I STILL find myself fantasizing about tanks I want in the far-future <sigh> MTS.. will there EVER be a cure? <Everyone echos "nooo">
I have some wierd, dodgy-looking random photos that I'll post soon... or tomorrow.. LOL

It's so nice to see you plan this carefully! thumbs2:
I have found a sort of cu-were for MTS. Get to many tanks you can't look after them, then stick to the ones you can. Works for me. So far I can look after all in my sig and one at my Library.

*.:.42G/160L.:.* -TRANSFORMING from FRESHWATER to SALTWATER-
NOTHING has changed with this tank.. LOL :help:
Still researching and saving like crazy.. I am going to save up for the basics first, and I really want to buy 20kg of marine salt while the price is reducted... (USUALLY = $50 > REDUCED = $30 for a 20kg bag)
Do you think T5/HO Individual Reflectors 6x39watt bulbs (2x Acintic, 2x 10K, 2x 14K) is good enough for a bubble tip anemone? One particular coral I definately want, hehe.. The lighting should be enough since its OVER 5watts per a gallon, even though the W/P/G rule doesn't basically work with Saltwater :ssmile:
I can't wait.. I can't wait... I can't wait... !!!!!!!!!! :19:
*.:.22G/85L.:.* -TETRA TANK [Community]-
Woaaahhhhh! Breeding behaviour GALORE in this tank :1luvu:
My Glowlights are BEYOND loved up... I LOOOVVVEE watching their little dances and their rubbing against eachother... So cute... I have 3 definate females with large plump, egg-bound bellies :)))
I also think I have a very egg-bound Neon Tetra... The other Neons are chasing her around occasionally and her tummy DOES look very large... I definately HOPE its egg-boundness and not something serious.... Unlikely though as she is acting the same as normal :)
So yuppers... LOVE is in the A.I.R.!.!.!
Its ALWAYS nice to find out that your fish are happy enough in your tank to display breeding behaviour... It really shows that all the care I give them is making them really happy :)

Sorry, havent been online for AGES! Stupid computer troubles... <grumbles> Heres some surprising, odd, happy, sad updates LOL
*.:.42G/160L.:.* -FRESHWATER CONFUSED-
Well... SALTWATER = NO GO :[
Yup, thats right :( I simply am running around in circles just looking after the FW tanks, so I have decided to put my dream of a saltwater tank on hold... for now... AGAIN... Another reason why I have quit from my plan is because I have NO money !!! No time - No work- No money + SALTWATER TANK = Biggg Nooo Noo...
Today I gave Blade, my lone Angelfish back to the LFS and scrubbed the tank. It is now an empty tank, but it is looking sparkly and clean and GORGEOUS! I am debating what to put in there.. <sigh>
*.:.22G/85L.:.* -TETRA TANK [Community]-
A tetra died for no reason in this tank :(
I now only have 3 Neons, 5 Rummys, 6 Glowies.. Plus the Corys, Kuhlis and SNAILS of course :P I need to buy 5 more Neons [8] and 1 more Rummy [6]..
This tank is algae-ridden.. I'll do a WC and work on it tomorrow <yippi> LOL

*.:.42G/160L.:.* -FRESHWATER ADOPTED HOME-
This tank is now home to a Oscar and a male Convict... As of yesterday..
VERY long story, but short version is: Their previous owner abused these 2 to know end and they have lived a very traumatic life.
They were housed in a tank with 20 other WILD fish that viciously attacked and harmed these 2 fish store fish in horrific ways. All the fish lived on daily crickets - No flakes or healthy staple foods.
Anyway, I saved these 2 in hopes of giving the, a much better tank. And yes, I am fully aware that my 42g is wayy to small to house these 2, but, honestly if you were in my position, YOU would give anything to give such poor little fishies a better life.
The Oscar has been hooked before, his previous owner thought it would be funny to dangle a fishing hook in the tank and the Oscar, obviously unknown to the VERY hamrful object... His mouth was bleeding and everything.. The poor dear..
They are getting along great, they always have though. When there are 2 little fishies against a HERD of HUGE NASTY fish and HORRIBLE water and feeding conditions, who wouldn't believe that these 2 would have a bond?
Anyway, they are going pretty good. My startling clean, perfect-perimetres must have been a shock after the wasteful home they used to belong too! They are VERY scared.... When ever you go NEAR the tank, they both RUSH to the small cave I have in there...
I hope they will learn to trust me soon...
I think I am going to make another thread about the feeding problems....

Kudos to you for saving the fish :) Your 42G is probably a blessing to them and Im sure you will do your best to care for the fish as they should be cared for.

Thanks guys :)
I feel really bad for the Oscar.. He has a pretty bigish-red looking scar where he was hooked... The poor darling..
They are beginning to become more animated now... But they are still really scared of people...

Hey guys :] Remember me?
<Blows dust off journal>
Wo[Only Registered Users Can See Links.] silly school. Exams and assignments non-stop take their toll, don't they? Thats all I am going to mention about my absence from my fish-keeping hobby!
The Oscar has been named "Aussy", after his beautiful, sunny, laid-back personality and of course, because of his startling gorgeous good-looks :11: Haha :) The Convict is being referred to as "Stripes", which was his old name with his old owner.
Both have become extremely animated and happy. They don't come anywhere near my hand when I clean the tank. But people can walk past without them both being scared silly - a great improvement! Aussy the Oscar LOVESSS his food! We are feeding them a diet of flakes, peas (Stripes LOVES them) and of course, plentiful live insects.
They are both very pretty-looking. Stripes has a beautiful blue-violet sheen to his scales. Very beautiful and healthy. Aussy is also very sleek and shiny.
I am very pleased with my 2 little babys. Very glad I took them in and shone them up. :1luvu:
22gallon? Fish dying non-stop. No problems at all. All tests perfect. Ph & Temperature all fine. Everything top-notch, but fish are dying non-stop. Definately upset about this tank. I reallyy don't know what to do!!!

Okay, plans are beginning to develop for the 22g! Did a major cleaning yesterday and everything looks fine and working. Starting to think about the stocking. At the moment, I have 4 Rummynose, 1 Bronze Cory && 2 Kuhli Loach.
First I have to attend to my lone little baby cory (Hes only a bubba). I guess next time I go to the LFS, I'll buy another 2 to keep him company until i can start building the numbers up.
Hopefully, in the next few weeks, my stock will end with:
12xRummynose Tetras
6xBronze Corys
6x Kuhli-Loaches
I think this is a good stock for the tank, as I have good dimensions for the bottom dwellers. I'll have to get to work and build up my numbers soon :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
I am thinking that'll be the end of the stock, but who knows? Perhaps I may get a small Gourami or something to add to my mix?

Aussy and Stripes are going good. Their tank is forever covered in algae, so I'll ahve to do something about that :P

Hmm. Really heavy thinking going on. Haha :)
Ok, obviously you guys know that I have been having alot of trouble with algae in the 42g. <points to photo above>
I have been trying to think of an algae eater, that won't get too big, but big enough to stay clear of Aussy's wondering huge mouth.
The algae I am getting - is pure green algae (the good stuff lol)
I would love a little BN, but of course - the Oscars mouth :| Lordy lordy! Is there any algae eater out there that would work with my 2 cichlids ???
I have also been seriously thinking about the future tank for Aussy & Stripes.
I think I have decided that the following would be a great tank for my duo:
6ftx18"x18" = 100g/385L = $125, brand new+lid.
Lots of length and width. I really like it :) I'll have to start saving, lol.
Its not definate I'm getting it yet. But hopefully. Got my fingers crossed. Haha.
Now I might just go and make a topic about this lgae-eater for the 42g. I don't mind if I can't/shouldn't get one, but it would be nice to clear my head :)
The 22g. No more deaths, so thats a good thing. One day soon should be going to the LFS, so I can build up my schools so the fish are more comfortable.

Dunno about the convict, but the oscar should be fine with a large ancistrus or a pleco...

Thanks!
Well, had big old chat with my dad.
AND, come to the conclusion - he WILL pay for the tank && organise a stand, as long as I provide the filter, heater, fish/etc. Hmm. Pretty good deal :D He won't buy the tank until I have a fair bit of money saved up to get the media, but I am really excited!
We also edited the tank specs. We are going to see if the guy will make a custom-made tank - for we want 6ftx2ftx2ft (instead of 6ftx18"x18") Therefore giving the Oscar more space to turn around :)
That comes up to 180gallons.... HUGEEEE! :11:
So, if he does custom = 180g, if not, I guess we'll just settle for a 100g :)
180g seems so big! I'm feeling excited, but frightened too! The biggest tank I have is obviously a 42g !!! LOL
Thinking about other fish that can go in with him, I mean 180g would be 80g more then the original plan! Haha
Aussy && Stripes don't know whats coming for them - the lucky little demons!
I'm still considering the aquascape and stuff obviously. Not planted, as none of my tanks are planted (I don't have the cash to get a decent light <sad>), with lots of driftwood and rocks. Sand substrate or gravel ? I have gravel in the 3ft and it has really angered me with all the debris underneith - however, I would also like a pleco, so pleco-poop with sand would look unsightly LOL
So many decisions to be made - so happy I could scream!!!!!!!

Okay, more chattity-chat-chat with the ol'man LOL :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:
We found a nice strong table that my dad made himself that would work well for a stand. Told him what I wanted in the stand. I want him to add a slab of wood on top and then scour it down on the sides so it looks more presentable. Then I want to re-paint the legs so they are a deeper black. Alsoi, we are planning to create another shelf below it and then have a curtain to go across it.
Its going to look brilliant! :1luvu:
Yesterday we messages the tank-mkaer and asked if he could possibly make a cutsom made tank of 7ftx2ftx2ft....
<pauses dramatically>
Yup, thats 210g. Unfortunately he told us that he couldn't help us with that. So today, I am going to message again about the 180g (6ftx2ftx2ft) and if thats undoable too, we will just settle for the 100g :)
Very excited!!!!!!!!!!!
<breathes deeply>
<inhales && exhales>
<phe[Only Registered Users Can See Links.]>
Thinking about it is kind of over-loading! I will end up having a 100g/180g to stock, a empty 42g to stock and still my almost empty 22g to stock!
I'm thinking about the following for the tanks ATM/and to come:
100g/180g: Oscar [Aussy], Convict [Stripes] & Pleco
42g: School of black neons [All I got for now LOL]
22g: School of Rummynoses, Corys & Kuhlis
Obviously, I am not that prepared! Haha :)

08-23-2009, 01:28 AM
Long time, no see :-)
Looks like a 100g will be our tops, since thats the biggest size the guy makes :-) Oh well, 6ftx18"x18" is more then enough space for Aussy!
BUT! We aren't getting the tank right now, as dad wants to sort out the whereabouts the stand will go and everything - and hes so busy, it'll probably take a while to get everything sorted out.
Aussy and Stripes had a fight in the 42g, ending up in Stripes being terrorized and living behind the filter, his scales were torn and his tail was frayed, so I put him in the 22g temporarily. Hes been fine with the little fish - but I am keeping a keen eye on him - any sign of aggression and he's going back in with Aussy! I'm leaving Stripes in the 22g hopefully until I can get this huge piece of driftwood from a friend - I think if Stripes had a better cave and shelter, they won't fight anymore.
<sigh> Stripes is such a rude fish! Hes the one who started the fight, by nipping Aussie and eventually Aussie just got pi$$ed. lol
Stripes is definately one of the sweetest fish ever though when it comes to humans :-) I put my hand in the tank to fix up something and he'll come darting up and snuggle against my hand. Definately a cutie! He's built up a good trust with my family - he seems to recognise whos feeding him food and stuff and reacts differently to different people :-)
I love him so much! Aussy is still a fair bit cautious, but is definately a scary beast! My baby sister was held up to see him and when she put her hand, he flew up and snapped his mouth around her tiny fingers! It didn't hurt her, but it shocked her to make her dissolve into tears!
Well, thats all I guess :-)
Great news Demi!!
Hope the 100 works out. Is this tank being made? Or shop brought? If you got a tank made you could get many more gallons out of it, and IME for half the price down to 1/4 of the price.
Oscars are wonderful arn't they.
mac
Demi ^_^
08-23-2009, 02:08 AM
Yes, I am so glad I took Aussie in! Hes getting quite big and plump now too :)
Umm, the tank is being made and 6ftx18x18 is the largest he can go by. He can't change the dimensions and he can't really go much bigger :)
I just added another filter to the 22g - a much smaller one that only rotates 100/L/P/H, but it provides more surface agitation, which will bring more oxygen into the tank :-) I'm very pleased with it! I have a few large rocks and the old piece of awsome driftwood that used to be in the 42g :-)

That is very strange. A Glazier should be able to make it to suit what ever you want.
Mine was happy to do a 10ft x 5 ft x 5ft tank for me. Just that would mean about 1 inch thick glass?
What is his reason not to go any larger? Because it is a simple job, and really going to 6ft x 20 inches 24 inches would be easy.

I have no idea, he just said he can't go bigger then 6ftx18"x18". But I don't mind too much, because its a great price :-)

It must be a experience type thing. Or else it is one of those type of Glaziers that thinks that it is to big.
If you can try to get it at least 6'x20''x20''. Just that would give more hight and width for the Oscars.

Hey everyone!
Feels so long since I've updated you all!
Well, the 42g is great! Aussy is growing to be a very beautiful and very darling part of the family. Yes, thats right, everyone simply adores him! He is fed a prime quality pellet staple base now :-) "Hikari Gold Cichlid Pellets" have definately improved his colour and overall health :-) I definatley recommend this pellet!!!
He now has a shiny, beautiful sheen of orange scales all around his body!
His old injuries from his previous abusive life are now finally starting to heal nicely.
His left lower fin, which before used to appear very short and deformed, is now long, flowing and almost identical to his right one :-) His lip wounds are also much improved, although still apparent :-)
Most spoilt Oscar in the WORLD! He loves everyone and everyone loves him - why even my 1yr old sister "Matilda" hand-feeds him now! He does have an imtimidating appearance, but he is actually very gentle and kind to human hands :-)
Okay, enough about Aussy, whom I'm sure I could write a book about - I told you everyone is infactuated with the darling!
Now then, the 22g was totally ripped apart, as of yesterday! I pulled apart the filter, submerged every piece into boiling water and hopefully was evicted of any of those terrible MTS! Honestly, I'm going to burst into tears if after all my hard work, the tank in the future is full of snails!!!
I'm unsure what to do with the filter, I just ran it under cold water and rubbed it with a sponge - I don't know whether I should boil that or not <confused>
All that's left in the tank is water, the old substrate and the remainder of the infestation of snails! I'll be sorting that all out tomorrow....
The fish, only 1 Bronze Cory, 1 Mussel and 1 Rummy Nose Tetra are in the hospital baggy until all is sorted out :-)
<wipes forehead> Woah.. I talk too much!
Demi ^_^
09-24-2009, 01:38 AM
Well, things are terrific so far!
I ditched the substrate yesterday and cleaned the entire tank out with hot water. Hopefully it'll be snail free now! I setup the tank again last night, using fresh water, but no substrate as of yet. At the moment, the tank has no fish in there, but is shiny clean!
I had alot of trouble with the suction cups on the heater last night and spent almost an hour, trying to get them to stick to the side of the tank. Thank god they finally did :-)
I fixed the setting on the heater, so now the tank is resigning at a temperature of 27'C :-) I'm going to squeeze some of the crap out of the filter in Aussy's tank into the 22g's filter. I just want to be sure I haven't restarted the cycle - and to be honest I probably have <blush>
I'll upload some piccies soon!

Well, heres the 22g – all clean and preen!
As you can see, the water level is much lower then it should be, as I gather when I finally get the substrate and add the driftwood, etc, it’ll go up quite a bit! <grins>
Doesn’t it look very clean and bright? LOL

I’ve done it!!!!!!!!!!!
I know in my last post about sand, I had said I would be getting some in several days! Well...... I probably should have noticed that as we have a pool, it’s likely we had pool filter sand LOL
I asked my dad if he had any and he pulled out half a 20kg bag of PFS!!!!
It looked REALLY dark, but actually in the tank it’s a very beautiful colour! Very natural – not white, but a nice tan-dark colour... I am VERY happy!!!
PHOTOS of the PROGRESS!
Before anything was added – sooo clean!
I turned off the heater and filter beforehand of course :-)
[Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
PFS looked really dark brown outside of the tank...
But brightened to a nice colour under the tanks fluorescents...

Added half... Tank is a bit cloudy...

Cloudiness is all gone! The sand looks so beautiful <3
I squeezed some of the muck and bacteria from the 42g filter into my 22g filter, in hopes of not having to repeat a whole cycle and I think its working.
I added the fishies yesterday!
The Rummynose Tetra's nose has remained and brightened to a beautiful rich red colour, so water quality must be good! The Mussel has found his place in the tank, he hasn't moved since I placed him there! He is all opened up, filtering the water :-) (Mussels filter 25L/P/H)
I've heaps of plans for this tank!
STOCK:
6xBronzeCory
10xRummyNoseTetra
I want to plant this tank - gradually making it a heavily planted tank when I can afford better lights. Since I only have a 10k 18watt fluro bulb ATM, I'll be focussing on stocking the tank with the fish and buying Java Fern and Java Moss as starter plants :-)
Wish me luck! ALl I am doing today, is working for money and researching for more ideas :-)
Ohh,, having fish is never dull, is it? :-)

Saving up my pennies for tomorrow <grins> I hope they have Java Moss atleast - atleast if I had some sort of moss, I'll have something to start with.
I already have a vision in my head, with the main, eyecatching plant being a Tiger Lotus - however they probably require loads of light, so that'll be in the future :-)
I have more photos that I'll upload soon :-)

Well, I am just a bit more then annoyed :-)
Went to the LFS, expecting to find more plants (They had said a few weeks ago, they were meaning to get more of a variety) Well, Well, Well.
No plants in sight except for the really highlight demanding ones...

I didn’t come home empty-handed though! I bought 2 more Bronze Corys to start my shoal. I was going to get a few tetra’s to also give my lone rummy some company, but they had none their :-(
The Corys LOVE the sand! The dunk their heads in and shoal wildly around the tank! Ohhh, I love Corys!

Awesome NEWS!
I got the definate on the 100G, dad has decided where he wants it, which is where the 3Ft is now, a cupboard. Its a 6.5ft x 16" cupboard, so it'll fit GREAT! All I'll have to do is put a board behind and sand it to the cupboards normal colour :-D
All I have to do now is save up my cash, which shouldn't take very long :hmm3grin2orange:
This changes EVERYTHING. ALL MY PLANS!
So, I'll probably be selling the 22G, putting the 3Ft in my room, build up fish schools and putting everything in there :ssmile:
I am trying to figure out tankmates for Aussy.
I am thinking I should get some of the fish now, and grow them out a bit in the 22G and then when I get the 100G, add Aussy and the new fish together, so their is no territory issues.....
True? I might start a thread and see what you guys think!

Thursday, 13th January 2011.
Wow. The last time I posted was back in 09...
Just looked through this entire journal & I feel like I have grown up a lot. I always used to make plans ASAP, getting myself excited about stuff when it really wasn’t definite. Last time I posted I was excited about getting a 100G. LOL. Don’t I feel a bit silly now?
The 22G was sold, feel’s like ages ago &right now I have the 1 tank, the 160L/42G tank, housing my Oscar, Aussy. He has grown so much. I remember when I first saw him. In a tank filled with wild fish. His former owner used to dangle hooks in the tank continuously &Aussy had grabbed one, being attached to it for hr’s before the owner noticed. Now I look at him &can’t help but be really happy, his tank may be absolutely tiny, but he has come such a long way!
Aussy has a permanent scar on his lip, a few scrapes &marks and the beginning of HITH/HLLE, yet he still manages to be my fishy superstar glowing in colour!
With the HITH/HLLE, Aussy has a pit on his head &the side of his face. I’ve been doing really frequent W/C’s &his tank is sparkling! For a few days he wasn’t eating, which totally freaked me out, but thankfully he started eating yesterday &has been enjoying his pellets, peas &earthworms with his normal gusto! I hope everything improves, I am pretty worried still...
Here are some photos of him playing &flaring about in the bubbles;

Anyway, I think that’s about it for now(:

Well, did a 50% WC for Aussy’s tank today, sparkle-sparkle!
Problem is, I think the hole in his head is getting bigger! I’ll have to take a photo tomorrow &compare it to last week’s to be sure, but it seriously appears to have gotten deeper &larger! He’s had 3 W/C’s this week &his tank looks awesome +he has been getting his pellets, earthworms &vegetables (peas) I hope he starts to improve soon!
Anyway, aside from that, I had another ‘tank-talk’ with mum &dad. Dad said Aussy was fine &happy, mum said no more pets. After a heated discussion dad said if I paid for the tank &he got to choose a fish to put in it, I had a yes from him. Mum asked where I was going to put it. I thought for a second she was going to tell me she didn’t want it in her living room &said quickly “in my room” only to have her say “no, it’ll have to go in the living room! You wouldn’t be allowed that size tank in your bedroom!” &she basically said as long as I worked it all out &paid for it all, she gave me the go ahead. Another condition is that I have to wait for Aussy to improve a bit. I told dad part of the reason he has the disease is the tank size &he just said “Yeah, well, no tanks until he gets a bit better!”
<sigh>
But I got a YES kind of... I think. Again, no deep set planning. I don’t want to get my hopes up if it just falls apart. Right now I just have to focus on Aussy getting better &getting the money together.
Right now I have to find a fish that could go in a tank with Aussy. SIGGH. What do I do in that situation? I don’t know what tank I can afford yet, but it should be over 80G HOPEFULLY... Dad wanted to put a barra-something in there &I was like heeeeell no, so he wants to know some fish that could go in there &then he’ll make a choice out of that – if I don’t have a good enough list, he’ll just give me a no! >.<

Okay. I lied. A LITTLE bit of planning, but SHUUSH! You guy’s KNOW I get excited easily! LOL.
Tank I’m after = 154cm x 63cm x 63cm (I think)
About 610L/160G (330bucks o.O, think he’ll go for it if I ask to pay 300? LOL)
I love that seller, haha, after asking about the 5fts he’s got in stock, I noted his dimensions over the net are always smaller then they are LOL. I don’t know why but that’s how he does it. After he mentioned that, I decided to measure my 160L properly &what do you know! He said that he just always seems to make larger then he means to!
Instead of the 92cm x 38cm x 46cm / 3ft x 15” x 18” he advertised for, for my current tank, after a proper measuring it’s actually: 92cm x 42cm x 49cm / 3ft x 16” x 19”
So really my 42G/160L is actually a 50G/190L – Haha, so it’s like the seller presented me with 30extra L’s for free! I think that’s pretty cool :P
Definitely not the first time I measure a tank wrong either -_-
