For the past couple weeks, my tiger angel has been hovering with his nose straight up. I've gotten the Ph balance correct. Some one suggested it might be swim bladder disease. How do I cure that??

I just wanted to post a response because you haven't gotten any yet. Swim bladder problems can be very difficult, in the few fish I've had that developed them badly i haven't really been able to find a good solution. The problems I've had typically though the fish tends to sink most of the time, and swim somewhat sideways or spin when swimming. Never had a fish swim face towards the surface. I remember a while back a thread about someone fixing a swim bladder problem by using a piece of styrofoam as a prosthetic swim bladder, but in this case I'm not sure that would work.
It's great that you've gotten your PH balance worked out, but maybe some more information such as exact PH, Ammo, Ni trates, and trites might help some people further diagnose your problem, some info about your WC schedule may help also.If you can get them, some pics would not hurt. Wishing you the best of luck, but unlike some of the people on this forum I'm no pro. It may not even be a swim bladder prob, but like I've already said, more info may help others determine what it may or may not be.

This exact same problem happened to one of my two angelfish. Unfortunately this ended up killing my angelfish.

It may not be a swim bladder problem. What makes this rather difficult is that if you have more than one angel in the tank or if you have other cichlids in the tank, this is actually a submissive posture that angels will take. What else is in the tank?

Absolutely spot on! Angels will look up and Firemouths look down. Weird, huh? But, if he remains like that, he needs to put separated into a tank where he'll be happier.

I did not know that ILMGB and Lady Hobbs, I guess we learn something new every day huh? Good to have learned it though, because I am planning on starting an angel tank up very soon.
