well guys you have all listened to me rant about this tank today it gets torn down have two new bags of black sand since i think my cloudy water issues are from algae in the playsand will update this thru the day as i go on
first pics are the draining, my helper, and the fishes temp home

well back to square 1, what i thought was black sand is more like very fine gravel and dust... gonna pull it out today and go back to playsand

well i got that crap out of it and scrubbed the tank and the wood.. gotta go tomorrow and get one more bag of sand and get them rinsed heres my idea for the new wood have a few more smaller pieces that will go in there and the plants.. hopefully i havent lost any fish they been in the bucket for 2 days but its a 40 gallon tub with a filter and heater just cant see em cause all the plants are floating in there too

its put together, still murky from the air in the water but the fish seem happy to be out of the bucket, hopefully it will clear up soon.

I think some filter floss would help.Change it out after a few hours.The carbon never hurts.I like to use it!

ng i got fresh floss on there now but i may change it again to see if it helps its clearing up but not what i want yet

LOL Mac.. your right its many paws... well today its looking a lot better, these lights i have never liked maybe its the plastic piece that keeps water from spashing but its just not right..216 watts but i swear its not as bright as the 108 on the 55. but enough griping..LOL here it is

folks. i am just thrilled, since i first set up the 55 this seems to be the first time i have had 2 clear tanks.. never could figure that out but every time i got one lookin good the other one would go to he**

tamara, yeah they a lot of help LOL chasin the scraps going down the python to the drain it was a bit of work but in the end i got a clean and clear tank so its all worth it

I do agree with Kingfisher. Have you tried some black bristol board back there? Its a cheap easy background and looks great!

thanks for the kind word everyone, maybe it'll stay this way for a little while anyway.. i do need to clean the filters a little bit its been a while since i cleaned the canister's
