Which fish species do you keep with your Neon tetras.

I’ll say wait a day or two and se what happens. They where likely just stressed during transport and damaged themselves trying to escape the perceived danger.

The fins will eventualy grow back, same thing happed to me when i stupidily put neons in with keyholes. Try using protizin it will help them fight any infection.

hope they are O.K

Funny enough, we were going to get some zebra danios, but were recommend against it as they are known fin-nippers? I hope your fish's fins got better!

I didn't notice my zebra's were nipping my long-finned danio's fins, either, until it was nearly too late. In 3 days time, they had their fins nearly all gone. I now have to keep zebra's separate from other top swimmers.

And all the fins grew back.

Some Melafix will speed up the healing process without nuking your biological filter.
