My favorite plant is Anubias [in all its varieties]. Attached to bogwood or rocks it grows happily in all my freshwater tanks (and much faster than its reputation would suggest).
I would love to grow it in my soon-to-be-set-up brackish water tank (SG 1.004/5) for a F8P and some BBGs. What are the chances of it surviving? Would it thrive, just hang on to life, or curl up its toes and die?

Anubias nana is such a strong plant that it thrives in some of the hardest conditions. It does perfectly fine in higher concentrations of salt. Other plants that you could use are java fern and hornwort.

Take a look at this link (http://homepage.mac.com/nmonks/Projects/FAQ/2d.html). It might help you too.
