i was trying to split my torch coral and crushed one of the heads is there anything i can do to keep the half i crushed alive. PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS

Was the polyp itself damaged.

not really sure but hard shell like thing they are in pretty well split in half exposing the inside so they dont really have a home no more. some of them are looking pretty deflated but some still look ok

Keep it in a lower flow area, that's what they like anyway, and try to support it if possible. Corals are delicate but have a surprising resiliency at the same time.

well i reattached it to my LR and put the damaged side against the rock and one piece that was small i stuck in the sand. what is a good way to break them apart so i know for the future.

Bone cutters. They sell them in frag kits or separately.

only time will tell, but if it turns to brown jelly, remove it asap or it will screw up you water parameters

As long as the polyp itself was not damaged in anyway then it should be fine, however if it was damaged there is a pretty good chance you will lose that polyp.
