Does anyone have this problem with co2 injection. I only set co2 to 2 bubbles per second but in less than a week I go through 5 pounds of co2. That is expensive. How long should 5 pounds typically last? I have checked for leaks and found nothing, thanks.

Two bubbles per second sounds like a lot. I am assuming the bubbles get to the surface, right? That implies that most of the CO2 is being wasted...

Do you have a diffuser? If you can make one, to get the bubbles completely dissolved in the water column before they reach the surface, one bubble every thirty seconds will be more than enough. Any more and you could end up with a pH crash. I have heard of some people using the bottom of a coke bottle as diffusers, but I don't have one myself, so I don't know... but that would sure save you a lot of $$$...
