How did you tell between male and female?

thanks for the good wishes everyone, ptero. the males usually a little larger and the female will have a red/purple belly marking.. another way is the black spot on the side the female will have blue spangles inside the mark while the male will be solid black

Oh no thats sad. Feed them up well and in about 2 - 3 weeks they should spawn again for you. :ssmile:

thanks all this was that pairs first spawn.. i lost my original 2 males and had to order the girls new husbands..lol but they paired up again one pair had laid but they ate em now this pair did the same thing
