Fish Chasing

ok so i just got 3 new additions to my tank and they are kind of harassing my dwarf puffers (i know its usually the other way around) is the chasing going to be a problem or is it a temporary thing.

What size tank and what kind of fish?

Zebra Danios and its a 16g

Arr Zebra Danois. IME things will get worse. The Danois IME don't really stop chasing fish. More so in smaller tanks. I would return the Danois, so that your puffers will be happy.

yea i was thinking that do you know of any like mellow fish that will more or less leave them alone? I i want to fill it out a little bit just becouse unless you realy look my tank seems empty.

Yeah I just got 3 zebra danios and they have a 10g tank to themselves. There is 1 big one, 1 medium one, and a small one. The biggest one constantly chases the smaller ones when they come out of hiding. All I had read before this is that they are peaceful fish but I guess not. At least it seems to be only chasing and no tail nipping. I was planning to add some neon tetras in but do you think they will get chased as well?

I found the same with mine. Mine were in a school of about 7 in a 30 gallon long planted tank. Along with a shoal of Harlequins. Well the Harlequins were chased by the bossiest of Danois till they died.

IMO These fish Danois are great to keep just in a tank with fish like Tiger Barbs or other types of Danois.

As for answering your question I would not get the Tetras. I would get more Danois, to lessen the fighting between them.

Hmm ok I'll think about it. I'm kinda of scared to get more danios because of the aggressiveness. I was hoping to have a peaceful tank. Do you think the tiger barbs would pose any problems to ghost shrimp or the smaller danios?

I can't say for the Shrimp but as for the Danois there would be no problem.
Remember that the Tiger barbs do better in large shoals. So I would get over 8 if you can.
