Wow, i cant believe it.
Some company has actually made a upgrade of UGF's!

As you remember, im going to convert the 10g acrylic to saltwater, or hospital tank.
I called petsmart, and they said 55$ for a 10g ugf. Im like crap thats expensive.
I drove down, and it was actually 25$.
i thought, thats pretty expensive, but this thing is AWESOME!
Its been revamped, and it has lots of new features.
Its easy to clean, and the plastic bottom is really new that the old grid. Its amazing.
Worth the 25$

ill check now... its called perfect-a-flow

Its been designed in a new way.
Last time i used a ugf in '97, it was a flat grid. This one has wavy mountains, and has slots so fish cant go in the tube.

Stupid question.
How do you use a powerhead? does it hook onto one of the tubes stickin up from the ugf?

Yea, thats how it works. put one at each end and aim toward the middle with the deflector aiming up to create a rolling surface. Have you mixed water and stuff for your tank yet?

no, i have to go to another place where theres cheap salt and crushed coral.

Ive seen aquaclear powerheads in boxes. Do you have to buy 2 separate, or is it 2 in a box?

Two seperate. Cost me 40 bucks for the pair of mine. They are working nice now though

And dont get frustrated if they dont fit your tank, you can rotate them around. If you have any questions about them pm me and ill be happy to help you.

Also, i just learned that clowns are a damsel fish. Learn something new every day, huh?

lol.

No, some anenomes are hardy. My condylactis was pretty hardy.

All my salt stuff died one day though.

All the reading were fine, then- POW, all the readings shot up and everything died within a hour.

I quit saltwater after that, but mr. condylactis still survived that incident, and i gave him away to a lfs.

now, ive got the urge for salt again!

Unless your LFS has some really low prices on GOOD live rock, I'd consider buying it online, from like liveaquaria. My LFS charges 10 bucks (!!!) per pound for cured Fiji live rock.....and it doesn't even look that great in terms of coloration, etc.

lol.

No, some anenomes are hardy.

I didn't mean a pain as in hard to keep. I meant a pain as in the easy to keep kinds will move around (commiting hari kari in some cases), require high lighting, or will eat any other fish than clowns....lol

I think that the name nemo in the film came about because of the Latin translation of the word which is nobody.

Finding Nobody, it helps to show the futility of his dads quest and makes it all the better when he finds him.
