This is my Silver Dollar tank. It's all moss since this is one plant the Dollars do not eat.

No expensive lights, no fertilizers, no CO2 and no special substrate. YEA! I hope to add some tall onion plants to the back and try them out, too.

This was really hard, too. Tie moss to wood, stand back and throw wood in tank. LOLOL

I know! I can't wait. Also been adding some java fern to the tank to see if they'll leave that alone. So far, so good. Just working on it.

Added again and the tank looks much better than when the photo was taken. I've added to it and put more branches in the tank.

AA......This is my silver dollars tank. Silver Dollars eat plants so I can put tall plants in the back. I may try some onion plants in pots but can't have other plants in this tank.

Now, to keep the moss nice and green and fluffy will be the next trick. Moss hasn't always done well for me so we'll see how it goes.

Miss Hobbs!!!!!

I am SOOO jealous! That's what I want! I love how you put the moss on the structure! You mentioned keeping it green...what specifically needs to be done to accomplish that?

Finally a method to keep silver dollars in a planted tank :) Looks great, Hobbsy. Just need to keep debris out of the moss to keep it growing. Group of Otocinclus would do it, or you could use a thin dowel or acrylic rod to gentle knock the debris out.

How many silver dollars are in there?
