Use the insert picture button, next to the "inset e-mail link" button. Same as in a thread. You can attach them, so you need to have the pic stored somewhere online.

aha, I have a bad habit of not checking out what buttons do, thanks Abbeys_Mom. Pity I need to have the pics online somewhereand can't just upload them.
