Thanks for showing us this link invadertoast [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Were going to try and grab the 90 gallon and we put the link up on the local reef club so hopefully someone there will pick up the 125. We really have no room for a bigger tank but I'm making room for a free complete set-up, lol. I sent them an email so hopefully were not too late. I'll also try and grab the tv

I'm starting to think its a scam but we could be wrong. There's 2 other similar CL adds going around, 1 for a free 180 and another for a free 300 (someone posted both to our reef club lol) . It must be someone looking for an e-mail list for spam. I could be wrong, but it does seem odd to give away so much and not reply to any emails
Do any of them have pictures phone number or anything?

nope, only local towns and one says their moving across country and another says the past owners left it there This one is really fishy [Only Registered Users Can See Links.] A mated pair of gem tangs is highly doubtful.
I have my own email for using CL and other sites like that and have one for my important stuff. I suggest you doing this because if he is a spammer, he won't have your real address. So if you do have email or whatever just email and see what he says..
Hm...seems both reasonable and 'too good to be true' all at once.
I also use a separate e-mail for internet stuff...

Yikes, I hope it's not a scam, that would suck! I agree with Rue, sounds reasonable but with several of them popping up around the same time it's kinda fishy... uh, no pun intended.
I see scams all the time in the reptile world, but never with fish before.

what bugs me with stuff like that is they dont even ask for a couple hundred bucks which is still super cheap. either its a scam or theyve got enough money to not want anymore for the tank. they should at least say desperate to sell, all offers considered

Darn, and we were hoping for a 90 gallon, lol. We had a spot planned out and everything. We did email one and they didn't reply and we get so much spam anyways we wouldn't notice anymore, lol. Doesn't anyone have anything better to do then scam. I'm still hoping there's a small chance its legit because its less then an hour away

Nothing in life comes free , its just unfortunate people are so easily scammed.

Posting was removed by the author... That sucks I wanted to read that one. Does kinda sound on the scam-ish side of things though.

Heres one of the others that is still up
[Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
A few people on the local reef club, including me, emailed them inquiring about the tanks (before we knew they were a scam) and no one has received a response

If that's real then awesome to whoever can score it. But personally I would bet that it's on the bs side of things. I can't see someone giving away money like that, just doesn't make any sense.
