i have some giant danios, long fin danios, a coolie loach, a common pleco, variety of barbs that love each other, fancy male guppies, and a group of neon tetras. I also have some snails,red nose shrimp, and ghost shrimp to help with the algae (the females are always pregnant, but i dont have a brackish tank to hatch the eggs) and asian clams in the flourite substrate. these together with my substrate heater and variety of plants keep the nitrites and ammonia levels consistently at zero and my nitrates at 10 ppm or less. i dont even get algae on the glass, the only problem i have is green hair algae on the 2 synthetic decorations i have.

Welcome to AC! Sounds like your tank is an active one, I'd love to see some pictures! And the substrate heater... I've heard of them, but never seen one, very interested in your setup!
