On the serious side, I just saw an update about the woman who was attacked by a chimpanzee at her friend's house:
In the most detail yet, the Cleveland Clinic outlined the extent of the 55-year-old's injuries. "She lost her nose, upper and lower lips, eyelids and the bony structures in her mid-face. She also lost both of her hands."

She has been admitted to the Cleveland clinic, which performed the first successful face transplant 2 months ago.

Yeah, I saw that. Unreal. I have to wonder though, about the folks that keep exotic pets like that. I have some basic understanding of the animal kingdom, and would never, ever own one of those things. Or any other animal that could take me or my family out of existence. Even some of the fish and reptiles we keep are a bit on the dangerous side. People tend to humanize their animals to a dangerous degree. Anything that is perfectly capable of killing you or your friends should be on the " not in my house" list. They are animals, not people. They have no, " humanly understood' code of ethics or morals, and no sense of the rules for human social interaction.

It's a nice idea to have a pet chimp and to witness first hand how amazing they are, but they can clearly be very dangerous.
