You could go with:
1 gourami
3 albino corys
6 tetras
and MAYBE a small bristle nose pleco.

And just so you know, everyone is going to badmouth the Under gravel filter, but i think they do a decent job!

Welcome to the A.C.!

most tetras of a shoal of 6 will go in a 10 gallon, with 3 cories on the, albino are my favourites, but others will do.and a centre piece fish, like a gouramie, or a betta, or scrap all the before and have it a figure 8 or dwarf puffer tank,

If you go with a dwarf puffer tank, you will only be able to put 3 in it. And dp's are a complete different species than normal freshwater fish. If you do consider them, I would recommend researching them, as you should with any fish you get, and make sure they are what you want. If you decide to go that way, I would recommend this website:

I wouldn't get tetra's because they are schooling fish and 10 gallons barely gives them enough room for form a school. I would fill it with cardinals OR neons, about 4 coreys and about 4 danios.

Regular puffers are...dwarf puffers are not.

It's fun to watch them puff!

You could keep a few honey gouramis in the 10 gallon
