I noticed several very small, white worms (among the dozens of astrea stars and hundreds of pods)about half the thickness of a strand of chaeto in our chaeto tonight. I thought I was seeing things at first, but their worms for sure. Does anyone know what type these could be? I'm pretty sure their beneficial as it looks like their catching stuff from the water column (kinda neat to watch, they stretch and get real thin, then snap back), but I keep hearing people talk about eliminating flatworms and want to make sure these aren't it. If they wern't so small I'd get a video, but our camera won't focus on them

if they are white, skinny, and waving around in the water column, they are not flatworms
They are beneficial for your tank. I'm not too sure on the species though.................

They are skinny and waving around. Thanks you unleashed. I kinda thought they weren't flatworms but I wanted to be sure. I couldn't find any pictures of marine flatworms on google

Q-tip sponge? I have one in my tank, sometimes it stretches out and gets skinny.
