It's easy to see why this guy has a reputation for eating small fish!

He's mine, and one of my favourites. :ssmile: He bothers no other fish, but he's not fully grown.

Awesome... kinda cool how they just "lounge" around waiting for something to swim on by.

That's a really excellent shot you caught there! For some reason the "yawning" pics are a favorite of mine. Very pretty fish.

Leopard Ctenopomas are considered to be a semi aggressive species of fish :) they are part of the gourami family. Some will have feelers, such as the leopard gourami or leopart ctenopoma.
Anyways, they can go with angels, tetras (larger than the ctenopoma), and other gouramis.
Also, you might want to get some large neon tetras. They aren't that big, but they will do for a while since leopard ctenopomas do grow fairly slowly, but if you feed them good enough, you'll find out that they can grow good at a steady rate.
They also require clear water, and need a temperature of about 84ºF.
pH is probably from a 6.8 to 7.2 Not too high.
If you have fishes that are smaller than the ctenopoma, then I suggest you get a LOT of plants that can provide shelter for the smaller fishes that are hiding from the leopard gourami (ctenopoma).
Good luck :)

I love my leopard... I haven't seen him yawn though, that is really cute! Mine is about 2-3" and loves his flake and pellet food. He hasn't killed any of my fish but they all average 2"+. He will turn sideways and curl his body to them and flare his fins if they get too close to were he is sleeping. Then go back to sleep, lol.
