Interesting...I never knew you could buy horseshoe crabs. Where'd you get yours?
Nice looking tank you have there! What size is it?

bought my horseshoe crabs at a LFS in saskatoon called Bayside Corals, i know that they get pretty big but will deal with that when it happens, it is a 29g tank, think i am going to be a future sufferer of MTS :hmm3grin2orange:

Lol how much did you pay?
I was just curious as i can walk out to any sandy area around here and get as many as you like. During breeding season you cant even walk on some beaches
Are you in US?

I agree a bigger tank may be in store, im not sure what size footprint a horseshoe crab would need but the females get up to like 2' with the tail

I've seen a 48"L x 14"H x 44"W(I think those were the demensions) on another forum. You may want to look into something like that. I'll go try to find some tank what may work for you.

Nice looking tank. I doubt you will need to worry about the large tank though. Horseshoe crabs are a temperate species and will not live long term in a tropical tank.

thought about it for a while but decided to take one the horseshoe crabs back and got some snails and hermit crabs in exchange, was worried about having a couple monsters.

Good choice, usually when people buy something they find out they can't take care of they usually keep it anyways.
