Breeding Bristlenose

I have a small 70L tank exclusively for Bristlenose. They spawn quite frequently, but I have trouble rearing the young. I have kept them in a breeding trap for a couple of months and fed them on cucumber & pumpkin which they seem to love; but they start dying off and eventually I loose the lot.
I have also released them into the tank a few weeks after hatching, but I still loose them.
Can anyone please help.
