ok the other day i brought a puffer, it was sold to me as a fresh water puffer, but i found out it is a marine/brackish puffer that can stand fresh water, other then that info on this little guy seems to be almost non-existant, he is a Chelonodon patoca/Milk-Spotted Puffer or toad fish.
does anybody know how to care for this little guy, what are his water parameters? etc..
im currently switching him to brackish water at .002 per week, will bring it to between 1.006 - 1.016
also ive heard accidentally over salting your aquarium will kill all the bacteria in your tank and will need to be cycled again.
to avaoid this would it be a good idea to use instant cycle through the process as a precaution?
