Adding Shrimps

Hii All,, im a newbie to freshwater tanks,,
i am planning to add a Freshwater shrimp to the tank,,the seller recommended a Fast Fish to accompany such addition as it might catch the slow or bottom feeding fishes..
Any advices? those i saw at shop were shrimps with "claws" they looked like a scorpion, but difinitky they were not crabs..
Anyone got an idea about these creatures?? i will be thankful,.

Hmm Shrimps with claws like a scorpion, Sounds like you might have seen a crayfish. Crayfish is sold as shrimps every now and then. Most shrimps have small claws.

There are shrimps to choose from who wont hurt even the most slow moving fish and you might want to consider one of those species if you want to keeep your options about fish open.
