I was looking at my tank this morning and one of my angels was in the corner almost upside down. So I immediatly checked all my params and everything was good 0 ammonia 0 nitrites 20 nitrates. He has looked fine for the past few days always swimming about eating fine no problems. The thing was that the lights were still of. Could it be that he was just sleeping and there is nothing to worry about? I threw a little food in to see if that would perk his intrest and get him out of the corner and it did he went back to swimming around fine. I will monitor him closely for sure. Is there anything I should watch out for? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a bacterial infection. A way to treat it is medicated food, but that is really hard to find, plus, the fish don't like to eat it. How often do you change the water?

I do 25% water changes weekly. All other fish are very lively and. I have never had any problems with sickness in any of them. He seems to be swimming around like normal all day since then Ill keep an eye on him.

It seems that there are a variety of causes that lead to a fish swimming abnormally, check out these links for some interesting reading on causes and possible cures:

I saw my angel swimming in this fashion only once and it was his way of sliding between the plants. I moved some stuff around and he didn't do it anymore but it was rather neat to watch. As long as he doesn't appear to be doing it now, I would not mediate unless he starts doing it again. If he does, try to give him some greens.
