Hello everyone,
How do i reduce the gurgiling/slurping sounds coming from the HOB overflow box.

sounds like you might have air still in the intake tube?

Maybe if it isn't sitting level it's keeping an air bubble trapped in the tube?

Or it might be pulling air from an air stone?

All in all, it seems to go down to air... make sure there's no air in it...

Depending on what kind of overflow you have, if it is a tube style or CPR style, then you can use an aqualifter pump. I have the CPR style and I run an aqualifter pump on mine. The other thing you may be having a problem with is actually where the water is draining down the tubes, you should be able to get a doughnut shaped sponge that fits over the holes, that will reduce the gurgling as well.

If you have a CPR overflow anything like mine, take an 8 inch piece of airlineand stick one end down the overflow drain thru the hole on the plastic drainguard. I went from going insane from gurgle noises to peaceful silence in less than 5 seconds
