I have many live plants that grow well without fertilizer, but I read that fertilizer is like natural food for the plants. I want to put fertilizer not because my plants are not growing well, but because it is recomanded. What kind of fretilizer do you recomand and how much for how much?(oz, pounds for what price)

I am not talking about CO2. I read if your not using more then 2 or 3 watts of light per gallon then CO2 is not needed. I am talking about Soil. Plant soil.

I use these fertilizer sticks. I forget what who makes them, but they are plastic tubes with holes in them that contain round pellets. You just stick them in the gravel and they are supposed to be good for a year.
