They’re also called Dracula fish, saber-tooth dogfish, water wolf, tiger characin, and payara. and look pretty harmless when viewed like this.

But when you see their dental work. it's a different story, lol
Anyone ever seen or kept these little barracudas?

Wow, that tetra has some big teeth. All tetras have teeth, most are too small to see unless you look hard.

Seen them only once at the Steinhardt aquarium in san francisco, they were on a special exhibit. pretty cool.

No they need to be kept in a species only tank, expensive fish
to buy as well, about £100/$200.

I just saw one of those in my lfs the other day. Very fast and very destructive looking.

Arent these the same as buck tooth tetras?

The ones that only get 3" in the tank but get monstrous in the wild?

You talking about Exodon paradoxus WT? They are awesome fish as well
but a lot more colourful, need to be kept in a species only tank and in
a shoal or they will eat each other.

Yea they look very similar, exodon para is it, thanks. i can never remember the name
