well....
you can attach it to rocks or driftwood.
Create a moss wall.
have it just bloating in your tank...
create a moss tree...

Some of the moss I have is attached to just driftwood. I did see some moss balls at some lfs, and decided to make my own. I took a piece of cork stopper from a wine bottle, and tied some moss around with some fishing line. To keep the cork from bobbing up to the top of the tank, I tied the cork down to a rock to use as a weight and put it under the gravel. It took about a month or two to really turn into a spherical moss ball. Every once in a while I take it out of the tank and give cut it down to size. Pretty easy to do and it looks good.

Try this method on your slate, give it a couple of weeks and it will naturally attach itself then you can remove the bands, and allow it to thicken. I did this one today

You can make a moss wall...just get a piece of plastic mesh from the craft department and use some fishing line to "sew" on some moss and then suction cup it to the back of the tank...the suction cups if tweaked a bit will fit threw the mesh.

Mine's attached to lava by loosly wrapping a little of the moss around the stone. Being that lava rock is so porous the moss has an easy time attaching to it.

Where do you guys buy this stuff? I've never seen it anywhere... I always figured it would be hard to maintain but man does it make the tank look pretty! =)

I got mine on eBay. It's often sold there and aquabid.com as well. Heck there's peeps on AC that'll sell or even GIVE you some if you'll pay for shipping.

In turn, you should pass some on to a friend when you're well established with it. Kinda like Aquarium Karma. :)
