Cycling Larger Tank with Used Media

I bought a 90g last week and the question I have is this: On my 46g I have two filters a fluval 305 and an HOB (I think it is a TetraTech 350 or something like that), can I just move the filter media from HOB to the 90? Will that be enough to stock right away since there is so much more water? Would I need to give it an adjustment period before adding additional fish over what is in the 46g?

I would say yes you would be ok, just keep an eye on your levels once you make the change.
What filter are you going to use on the 90? If you have time set up the filter for the 90 on the 46 now and let it seed itself. Use some old media to seed the new and run it for a bit on the 46 if you want, then you wont be taking anything away from the 46 when you set the 90 up.
