According to wikipedia and its sources,Yes!
A deep sea dweller that rarely sees the sunlight and lacks muscle. Instead its body is comprised of a gelatenous like substance and just floats above the sea floor and eats whatever floats by. Often caught in bottom fishing dragnets.

They are a pefect fish if someone was ever to do a painting of fish playing poker!Kinda like the dogs but these maybe a grouper or two and a few more!lol

Those are not the well known blobfish, that is my great grandfather and his american legion buddies, geez you guys are cruel.

hehe, Ive seen them before - there are some pretty ugly beasties about, huh!
Its a fathead (genus Psychrolutes marcidus - yes, I googled that bit)..or, as others have mentioned, a blobfish...
Monkfish are ugly too....sure taste good though!
I had a friend who looked a bit like that blobfish....she wasnt fat or anything...its just her nose and eyes were the same....lol
