Im sure jeff will answer this one first since hes got a krib, but here goes.

Just now, i looked at my krib, and a bit lower than that black line in the middle, i noticed a faint splotch of purply brown. I looked at google images, and i guess females get a big splotch by their stomach in the middle- just like the ones in google.

Im sure this isnt septiciemia, since ive seen septiciemia and it isnt bright red. The krib acts normal, eats fine, and im sure the splotch is that normal thing.
so, whadya think???????????

I think you want to be part of the malawi gang so bad you are posting your Krib questions here. It sounds to me like you have a female, nothing out of the ordinary. I'm sure Jeff will be along soon to tell you for certain.

well, i studied it more. I think its just a little faint part of the stripe that faints off toward the bottom.

I would be surprised to find out if it was female, im sure its male

yeah, thats what i thought. The rift part of malawi.

I dont want to waste another thread on this other question, but what exactly is in that product "waste control"? is it just that bio-spira bacteria super concentrated?

Im sure all is fine I have a pair of kribs and had them for 2 years now. Now about wether its male or female males tales are in the shape of a spade and are larger but if its young you can only go by size bc the tale hasnt grown out yet. I think they are from the ethiops river in ethiopia.
