those fish are shown more in depth on BBC's Blue Planet "Deep Sea" ... some very weird things down there.

Very fascinating discovery...makes us wonder how many more bizarre fish are out there that have yet to be discovered.

In one deep sea species the male literally attaches to the female's body like a tick and lives off of her bloodstream. Then she has a little sperm factory with her where ever she goes.
I don't know if this one is like that at all, but this shows how extreme the adaptations are for these types of animals.

I believe thats a type of anglerfish your talking about, pretty weird though. And I know, don't even bother saying it, OLD THREAD...
