i am thinging of getting a 90 gl brackish aquarium, i know someone who is selling one for 175$. Will a scat go in one, if so, will monos go with them, and how many in an aquarium that size, if you know any other brackish water species, can you tell me? thanks in advance.

Btate617, thanks for not including violet (dragon) gobies on that list. I personally think they get too large for a 90 gal. Their smaller cousins, Taenioides would be suitable for that size tank though. So would mudskippers, and of course any type of small brackish fish.

thanks for the info,ive dicided to keep my 40 gallon and i heard you could get one or two mudskippers, is this ok, know they come out of the water and what they need

I think 40 gallons is enough for two mudskippers. It certainly is if you go with a small species like Periophthalmus novemradiatus.

dont know where you are,im in the uk so my 7 foot tank is 85.5 imp gallons where as in the us this would be 101 gallons. i guess if you are in the us your tank is about 5 - 6 foot this would be fine for scats,archer fish finger monos etc but if you get scats they are very greedy you can keep just 1 but best to get at least 4

A 90 gallon tank is usally 48"x18"x24". A 40 breeder is 36x18x16 40 long 48x12x16.

both of these puffers are purely freshwater and should not ever be kept in brackish
