My large tank is 46 gallon bow front. I have an Emperor 400 filter on it.

Current Occupants:
2 - Tiger Oscars
1 - Tire Track Eel
1 - Pleco

I am going to get rid of the 2 oscars. The pleco can go as well, doesn't really matter.

I'd like to have a larger number of fish, then 1-2 large fish.

An assortment of fish be nice. Can anyone suggest some fish where I could possibly get 10 fish in here.

I really like clown loaches, but I know they like to school. I wouldn't mind 5 small clown loaches, but then what other cool fish can I put with them?

I would definitly not recomend the clown loaches for your aquarium. Most reach sizes up to 16"! And should stay in a minimum 75 gallon tank. The same for the eel that species can get up to 36" ( thats what i read!) but i do know that these do not do good with smaller fish, so unless you get rid of the eel your gonna be stuck with big fish.

I have a 20 gallon community tank. I combine all types of fish. I have tetras, plattys, mollies, gouramis, and a bulldog pleco. They all do great together, and whats great is all the fish (except the gouramis) stay small in size so i can keep all different kinds, and no my tank is not over crowded (i am very careful bout that.) And all the fish come in all different colors which makes my aquarium very colorful. Good Luck!

Your tank is way too small for a group of 5 clown loaches long term - these fish can easily reach 11".
I am also going to say that your tank stocking currently is not good either. A single O should have a 55g, a 75G for a pair. Unless you mistyped and meant a 460G...
What is your PH from the tap? What sort of substrate do you have?
There are a number of options - but none of them include really large fish.

How about a bichir?

i wouldnt reccomend putting any smaller fish with the eel. A severum would work but you would only be able to get 1 or max. If you got rid of the eel. you could do a cichlid tank. you could fit a couple good groups of them in their.

Yeah, I agree with getting a few pairs of smaller cichlids maybe...
