What happened? Help.

I got my frogfish a week ago and added him to the tank. He was eating fine and moving all around the tank and hiding. Until today I went to look at him to find that he is paralyzed and can't move any of his feet. Also, his head and mouth are paralyzed and there is some white 'goop' on it. I have no idea what happened. All my parameters are perfect and the tank is 6 months old.
I think he is a goner though.

No I don't. I just went and looked at him again and turned the powerhead off so he isn't getting thrown around and he can still wiggle his tail and swim around with the powerhead off. But his eyes are glazed over and are blue. As well there is some of the goo all around his mouth. What could it possibly be?

I don't think so. He just went and hid. And he's fairly small right now too. Around 2-3".

Do you think a quick freshwater dip might do any good?

Until we find out what it is, I wouldn't do any treatment
