Hi guys
Went to LFS today
Got 3 of these guys. I did get the name of them but lost the bit of paper.
Anyone got any ideas please?

Hey Celtic I believe they are....
cooluys lookingus fisherus
a newer species.
Nice pick up, cool looking fish.

they look like one of the slender rainbowfish to me.

Possibly Hemiodus semitaeniatus? But I think hemiodus gracilis (Slender hemiodus) is what they are...as always, beautiful!

They are sweet.
As our tank is technically my son's, I have to stand by and let him pick the fish that go in it. Drives me nuts when I see all the cool fish on this site!!

After using the evening reserching these fish. I have found out they are perfect dither fish for central & SA cichlids.thumbs2:

They look like hockey stick fish! I have no idea what they are called.

The term dither fish refers to a group of aquarium fish used by cichlid keeping aquarists to reduce timidness in some species of cichlids. :ssmile:

NG. If you look through the thread. Fins n Fur has ID'd them for me as hemiodus gracilis . :ssmile:

I did see them in a store labaled hockey sticks!I am not one for remembering many scietific names.I don't know how you guys do!lol
