Some good news and some bad news

First the bad news. We bought a firefish yesterday and immediately after being added to the display our clowns and hawkfish began to attack it, and the hawkfish even latched onto its tail and did a death roll. I managed to get the firefish out and into the refugium, and as of last night it looked ok, just beat up, but unfortunantly it didn't make it through the night.


On a positive side, our female clown found our BTA. She's been rolling around in it for an hour or so. The male hasn't found it yet, and she keeps swimming towards him as to say, "come on in, you'll like it". Here are a few pics and we have a video once it finishes uploading

Thank you. I should have know about the firefish. In my research I found the hawkfish can be very aggressive towards small fish. I fell kinda bad for our male clown, he looks lonely by himself:scry:

Our female (the one pictured) was chasing it around, but the hawkfish was downright mean. I think he was ready to fight till the death and eat any remains (and I think he could have too). I never seen a fish that aggressive and that mean. I'm glad it gets along with the clowns or it would be out

Yep. They belong to the same Family as damsels.
