Hey everyone. I just started keeping my fish tank about 2 months ago. I started out with 2 tiger barbs and a platy. But now I have 4 tiger barbs, 2 albino tiger barbs, 2 golden pristella tetras, 2 bronze cories, and a red tail shark.

oh haha, So my question was, how hard is sand to take care of in an aquarium? I really like how sand is, but I have stones now. I was thinking of switching

It isn't tough at all - just make sure you stir it up every once in awhile to avoid gas pockets.
How big is your tank?

Sand is a lot easier to clean too!
You don't have to touch the sand, just hover above it and suck up the mess.

Thats what I've been hearing. But I wasn't sure. Thanks for the help. My tank right now is only 10 gallons, but the fish are all really small. I'm in the process of getting a 20 gallon

The cories will love the sand tank. I've had sand in my tank for a few month now without any real issues. Has a great look to it. After each water change, I run a thin stirring rod through the sand, just to get rid of any gas/air pockets. Cleanup is easy too. You do need to keep the water in your tank topped off though, sometimes when I don't the water current stirs up the sand a bit.

Get rid of the shark, even though they dont get very big they need 55+ worth of swimming room. You may be able to get away with 6 tiger barbs in a 20, but not a red tail.
While we're at it, your bronze corys need 6+ like the tiger barbs. Unfortunately, the only fish that are really small enough to keep any in a ten gallon are the tetras, so i wouldnt add anything to that tank, even though you need to even out your numbers.
Sorry to be the barer of bad news.
