So I was doing a water change today, and I have really hard well water, so I have to add this acid buffer stuff today to neutralize most of it to be able to get the pH down to about 6.4 or so. Well, I forgot to add it today, since I was rushed with all kinds of other stuff. I realized it just now, and after testing, I found my pH shot up from 6.4 to 7.2 :-X
The odd thing is, my Siamese Algae Eater has gone from lethargic and not eating to alive and swimming peacefully around (though still not eating).
Hopefully, everything should be alright. I decided not to add more of the acid buffer for a while, since the fish probably don't need another jolt to the system.
Lesson learned: If you have hard well water, get cichlids -.-
