I was just wondering about fish sizes.
We are always on about how fish's size is stunted if it is kept in too smaller a tank. But if given a tank bigger than what they need would they just grow as big as there wild cousins or grow bigger ?

Sometimes, if kept in pristine conditions and fed well with good foods, captive fish in a large enough tank will grow larger (and live longer) than they would in the wild. The food supply is often limited in the wild, which limits their growth.
I don't believe this applies to all species, of course, as there are other factors that affect a fishes growth, and different species of fish have evolved in different ways and are therefore limited by factors other than just food supply.

As big or bigger usually. There are exceptions, like the buck toothed tetra
