im new to the fish thing and i would like to know what kind of fish i could get except a goldfish i have a 25 gallon tank thanx :D

Goldfish prefer relativly cold water which limits your choices but perhaps some minnow species or a paradise macropod.

Actually, that kind of sounds like g-man is looking for anything but a goldfish and hasn't got any.

If you've got a 25 gallon tank, you should stick with smaller fish and since you're new to fish I'd stick with smaller an more docile fish. You could probably do stuff like guppies, neon tetras, and maybe a rubbernose pleco for a real pretty tank. The rubbernose (rubbernose? maybe rubber lip? I'm blanking) pleco is a much smaller pleco and won't outgrow your tank.
