Hi all im new to this forum i have been keeping cichlids for about 15yrs and currently have a 65gal. with cichlids, plecos, and loaches its not heavily populated . I built a wet/dry filter with a homemade hang on back overflow box its been 24hrs and no leaks or floods so it pretty interesting . my question to you all is should i use bio balls or bio max for fresh water

G'day Nick, enjoy your time at AC.:22:
I hav'nt had anything to do with bioballs but i did read an article about how Underwater world in China use them and Underwater world in Melbourne, Australia just recieved 2 million of em, so they must be pretty good.thumbs2:

I think its typical to use bio balls in a wet-dry but someone who knows more about them will answer if you post in the appropriate section(s).thumbs2:

Welcome to the AC

Bio-balls for a wet-dry in my opinion.
