I read that Java Ferns can raise bicarbonate levels and potentially increase water hardness. My water is too hard to begin with so this is a concern for me. Anyone else heard or experienced this??
Thanks

Hmmmm.... I've never heard ot anything like this. However, Java ferns can use bicarbonate ions as a source of carbon (like CO2) for their own growth. Is that what you are talking about?
