That is one really tough plant to keep happy... I have attempted it twice and failed both times after a few months. I am talking about in a super high light tank with CO2 ... if you do get your hands on it - good luck :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

thanks ... any suggestions for an easier plant that will give me a very short grass-like carpet ... I'm trying HC in my other tank, but it doesn't have a grass-like leaf structure ...
P.S. I was reading that it would basically stagnate for 2-3 months while it adjusted to your tank conditions and then it would start growing ...

Mine stagnated indeed for 3 months and then withered away and died LOL
Doesn't mean it wouldn't work for you though....every tank is different... thumbs2:

I have some tiny grass that came with some other plants, not sure what is is but it looks great if it would just spread. 1-1/2" tall about the thickness of a hair, is that hair grass?

I'd love to, but I've had it for 5 months and there are only 8-10 blades, looks just like a very fine lawn grass.
I'm going to move a couple into another tank and see if that helps

I had a plant just like that.Found it while plant collecting at a lake. My guess is it is a semi aquatic grass that would need high lighting to thrive submerged. Mine lasted a month or two.
