Thanks all, as soon as I turned out the lights in the room he spotted his reflection in the glass. From what I have seen so far Bettas have a lot of personality.

I havn't been able to get a good shot of my other betta yet.
He is very dark blue and his tank isn't as brightly lit.

When it gets dark tonight I am going to try to get shot of a group of my danios playing in the java moss.
