The Shield

Pepper is an 8 year old Chihuahua that my wife rescued when we were engaged. She was 1 yr old but was already house broken and trained. She has got to be the best dog I've ever had.....loves people, kids, strangers, everyone. Her only drawback is the typical Chihuahua barking.......

This is Leo. He's a white Pug with 9 lives but has used up 8 of them. In April 2008 we were only home from Disney for 4 days and the wife was across the street hanging out with the neighbors. She was getting ready to come home and tried putting Leo's leash on when he bolted towards another neighbor walking his dog's on our side of the street. Little did Leo know a car was coming around the curve. At the last minute (according to my wife and neighbor) Leo stopped and coward at the last minute, but was still struck by the car and spit out the back end. No tires ran him over but the impact damaged his left eye to the point it had to be removed. But don't feel bad for him as he was 100% back to normal within 2 weeks, with the still occasional bumping into things on his left. lol. I'll save everyone the pic of his eye the day after the accident, but here he is just today.....
