Hello and welcome aboard:22:
I have no doubt you'll realize you've came to the right place.
Start with the free Ebook in the left side bar, there's enough info on this site to keep you busy for a long time.
Feel free to ask any questions you still have.
Your definitely on the right track, research first and avoid the beginners headaches

welcome thumbs2: you definately made the right choice both in looking for information before you get/set up a tank, you will avoid a lot of problems that way, and choosing here to find your info. i also found the beginners freshwater forum very helpful. have fun setting up your aquarium when you get it.
