not been on for a while as you may of noticed,:hmm3grin2orange:
well in this last week ive had a nasty stomach bug and a new visitor heres the story,
just before i got the bug i went to my lfs and saw a 6" clown loach in a very crammed tank so i asked about it and the storeperson said nobody wanted it, i was confused and asked why as you would do, first thing that sprang to mind was PRICE TAG!!! it wasnt that??? it was quite cheap to be fair £20 ($40 roughly) so i said net it up and i'll have a look he is in good condition, nothing wrong with the fins etc so i said i'll take it,storeperson said he was shy and i thought i've got others so he might be ok, now hes been in the tank for a week hes slowly coming out and about some more and starting to settle with another of my big loaches (new one is the biggest) but ive not seen him eat which i think is unusaul compared to my others, hes had cucumber, prawns, pellets, worms and all the tasty treats a loach loves and hides when food is about ,the loach is still all the colouring hes supposed to be brilliant red tail/fins and orange and black stripes, could anybody put my mind at rest as ive not experienced this with any loach before,i will try and post pictures later

Loaches have strong characters and can be huffy and shy just like a human... I think maybe although he is feeling happy to be amongst others he is still finding his place..once he feels more settled and part of the gang I am pretty sure he will start eating like a little piggy like the rest thumbs2:

I wouldn't start worrying unless he has not eaten within 2 weeks...

Looking forward to the pics :18:

I stacked up a bunch of rock in one corner of my tank and my 5 loaches are in there constantly now. I walk in the room and they all dash for cover. Used to be they were out more, would lay in front of the glass so could be seen a lot, waltz around the tank in a line and swim in the bubbles. Mine just seem more skittish in their current tank so I'll probably have to move them to another.

Nice clowns angelcakes! Mine are almost getting that big. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about with him not seeming to eat anything. He's probably just adjusting to the tank and fixing his way into your other loaches 'circle'...
Looks like you're doing a fine job with your clowns and I bet he'll come around when he's a little more familiar with his new crew. thumbs2:
