Stocking and Tank Mates Suggestions

I'm starting to cycle a 55g tank and I want to eventually have angels. What would be a good number to get and what would some tankmates be that work best with angels?

The only thing that I really want for the tank are a school or cories, but other than that I am wide open on suggestions.

In a 55g, I'd either go with 1 or 3 angels, but not 2. It can be very tough to handle if you get a pair of angels that breed because they will become so agressive. As for tank mates, just make sure the fish can't fit in the angels mouth so no neons or anything tiny like that. Stay away from anything that will nip at the angels feelers like tiger barbs and other nippers. Your cories will be fine. Maybe some diamond tetras?
